2. Scope of Services

 

We offer residential and commercial groundworks, landscaping, artificial grass installation, driveways, flagging, fencing, patios, drainage, resin work, excavation, and related services.

All services are subject to a detailed written quote/schedule provided to you before work commences.

3. Quotes & Estimates

​

• All quotes are free and provided with no obligation.

• Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

• All quotes specify the scope of work, estimated costs, payment schedule, and projected timescales.

• Prices may be subject to revision if you alter the project scope, if there are unforeseen issues (e.g., subsurface conditions), or if significant material or labour costs change before work starts.

4. Bookings & Payments

​

• A deposit (amount specified in your quote) may be required to secure a booking.

• Final payment is due immediately upon project completion and before handover unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• We accept payment by bank transfer, cheque, or cash (as stated on your invoice).

• Late payments may incur interest as permitted by law.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

​

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible in writing.

• Deposits may be non-refundable if cancellation occurs less than 7 days before the scheduled start.

• We reserve the right to reschedule or delay work due to weather, access issues, or circumstances outside our control.

6. Access & Site Requirements

​

• You are responsible for ensuring clear access to the work area for vehicles and equipment.

• Please inform us of any underground services (cables, pipes) before work starts; we are not liable for damage if they are not clearly marked.

• Pets and children must be kept away from work areas.

7. Materials & Specifications

​

• All materials remain the property of LJ Groundworks & Landscaping until paid in full.

• We may, at our discretion, substitute materials of equal or better quality if originals are unavailable, subject to your approval.

8. Project Duration & Delays

​

• We provide estimated timescales, but project completion may be delayed by weather, supplier issues, or unforeseen events.

• We will communicate promptly about any delays.

​

9. Workmanship Guarantee & Warranty

​

• Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion, except where otherwise stated.

• Manufacturer warranties apply to materials.

• This guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or acts of nature (e.g., flooding, storm).

10. Insurance & Liability

​

• We are fully insured for public liability and, if applicable, employer’s liability.

• Our total liability for any loss or damage is limited to the amount paid for our services.

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.

• Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death/injury caused by our negligence.

11. Use of Photos & Testimonials

​

• We may take photographs of work completed at your property for our portfolio and marketing.

• No images identifying you, your family, or house number will be used without explicit permission.

• You may revoke permission at any time by contacting us.

​

12. Complaints

​

• If you are dissatisfied, please let us know in writing as soon as possible.

• We aim to resolve complaints within 14 days.

13. Health & Safety

​

• We follow best practice and legal obligations for safe working.

• You and your visitors must avoid work areas for safety.

14. Environmental Considerations

​

• We dispose of waste responsibly and comply with environmental regulations.

• Sustainable and recycled materials are used where possible.

15. Equal Opportunities

​

• We provide services equally, without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, disability, age, religion, or belief.

16. Variation & Termination

​

• Any variations to these terms must be agreed in writing.

• We reserve the right to terminate services if these terms are breached or if we cannot continue work safely or lawfully.
